<strong>Content and description</strong>
<strong>1. My 2-D Shape Mat in colour and b/w. (x2)</strong>
2-D shape mat contains all the shapes the children will be using in their activities. The mat is also needed for the 2-D quiz. There are 8 questions to be answered.
<strong>2. Differentiated 2-D Shapes Search and Colour (x5).</strong>
Children colour the shapes using the colour key.
<strong>3. 2-D Shapes Search + Answer Sheet.</strong>
There are five questions on this worksheet. Children refer to the shapes below which shows a variety of 2-D shapes inside two circles. Questions asked, e.g., ‘How many [triangles] do you see?
<strong>4. 2-D Shape Pictures (x7).</strong>
Seven 2-D shape pictures with colour key to be completed with the correct colours according to the colour key. The pictures are: - a house; rocket; cat; head with a hat; fish; face; and trees.
<strong>5. 2-D Shape Robot - 6 Questions and Answer Sheet.</strong>
This worksheet has a picture of a robot together with six questions for the children to answer.
As an extension for the more able children, when they count the shapes they can also include the colour of the shape, e.g. ‘How many triangles can you see?��� The more able children can write ‘1 triangle which is a red hat.’
<strong> 6. Count and Colour 2-D Shape worksheet (x3).</strong>
Counting within 10, children read how many shapes to trace round and colour in.
<strong>7. Match shape to correct number of sides worksheet (x2) with Answers.</strong>
This worksheet will help to consolidate children’s knowledge on the number of sides 2-D shapes have. There are 4 shapes on each worksheet. Children draw a line from a 2-D shape to the correct number of sides that shape has.
<strong>8. 2-D Shape Quiz/Activity – 8 Questions + Answer Sheet.</strong>
This is a quiz activity and the last task is to trace around four 2-D shapes and label them.
<strong>9. My 2-D Shape Picture for children</strong>
Children are given the opportunity to practise their shape knowledge and create 2-D pictures.

There are two sets of word searches with pictures. Children look for the words in the grid.
They also look for a hidden shape word in the grid. A picture of the shape is shown.
<strong>Differentiated - Label 2D and 3D Shape Mix Worksheets</strong>
Children label the shapes. There is a word bank to help them write the names of the shapes.
<strong>Identifying and drawing 2D flat faces seen on 3D solid shapes</strong>
Children say the 3D shape aloud and then identify the 2D shape that is shaded on the solid.
Next, the children draw/sketch the 2D shape. They can practise using a ruler to obtain equal straight lines for the square and drawing straight in general.
<strong>2D and 3D Jigsaw Puzzle Match</strong>
<strong>These are cut and paste activities. </strong>
Children cut out one piece of the puzzle with a picture of a shape and glue it onto their worksheets or in workbooks. They then read the correct description for that shape which is written on another piece of puzzle. They cut out and glue the correct description opposite the first jigsaw piece so that the jigsaw pieces fit together.

The PowerPoint Presentation explains how the clouds are formed, their features and there are photographs/pictures of the common type of clouds children may recognize in the sky. They even learn about how snow is formed and then falls as either snowflakes or sleet.

Presentation 2 - Provides helpful information for children to review water cycle vocabulary, meaning of cloud names and explains that cloud coverage is measured in oktas.

A Thanksgiving mixed bag of differentiated math worksheets and practical activities ideal for math centers.
Content
Teacher notes (5 pages). You could set up math stations for students.
Optional lesson starter PowerPoint (0 to 20) – Whole class counting aloud backwards and forwards. You can assess students’ knowledge - which number comes after 7 or what numbers comes before 11 and practice one more/one less.
Picture Number Puzzle Strips x7 (color/b/w) – The strips range from 1 to 10, 11 to 20 and then counting by 2s to 20; counting by 2s using odd numbers, e.g. 1, 3, 5 etc and even numbers – 2, 4, 6 etc.
Numeral cards 0- 20 in words and figures for various activities such as matching numbers to number words; sorting odd and even numbers.
3 sets of Picture cards (pumpkin, pumpkin pie and ‘We are thankful’ cards) – to be used with a variety of activities with the numeral cards, as outlined in teacher notes. E.g. Group activity, you or a student can shuffle the cards 1 to 10 and place them face down on the table. Another student takes a card and then count out the picture cards to match the number.
Tens frames and turkey cards for various activities such as missing number in an equation.
Place for example 7 cards on the tens frame and then write:
7 + ____ = 10 The student will see 3 empty spaces on the tens frame.
Cut and stick activity - Counting up to 5.
Thanksgiving Counting worksheets (2 pgs) - Students count the pictures and write the number in the space provided.
Color and count worksheets (2 pgs)
Students read and count carefully how many of the pictures they need to color in.
Missing Numbers worksheets (7 pgs)
Students fill in the missing number above each turkey. Students are counting by 1s forward and backwards starting from any number.
Write the number before and after (2 pages) - Students trace inside the middle number and then write the number that comes before and after.
Trace over numbers and words up to 10
This resource comes in color and b/w. Students can practice forming their numerals and counting the pictures alongside the number.

Worksheet 1 – Students write 4 things they are grateful for
Worksheet 2 – Students match the product from which the food is made, e.g. match wheat to bread; pumpkin pie/pumpkin; milk/cow etc.
Worksheet 3 – Finding out about a country that celebrates thanksgiving - The worksheet includes questions to guide the students in their fact-finding activity.
Vocabulary building - Students make as many words as they can out of ‘Thanksgiving’. A fun activity - at the end of the lesson find out who has the most words.

The worksheets are optional and can be used after an assembly or a class lesson.
The presentation is to tell students about Thanksgiving Day and how it is celebrated. They can also talk about how they celebrate this holiday at home.
The second part of the presentation briefly informs students how the thanksgiving festival came about.
Extra activities:
Students can find out about when and how other countries celebrate thanksgiving and whether they call it by another name.
E.g. The United Kingdom (Harvest Festival)
Students can choose another country of their choice – Worksheet 3 template.
Depending on the ability of your students: You can print off Slide 13 of the presentation and ask students to write sentences or a short paragraph with the words displayed about Thanksgiving

This resource relates to St. Patrick’s Day (17 March).
It is versatile in that you can save as a different name and then adapt to suit the timing of your assembly.
It can also be used as a lesson resource where you can focus on a particular topic such as St Patrick’s life from when he was born, taken as a slave and the becoming the patron saint of Ireland.

A Presentation (69 Slides) on facts about St. Patrick and how the day is celebrated.
The presentation starts with a welcome to the whole school.
It then shows a stain glass window of St Patrick holding a shamrock.
There are questions and answers throughout the presentation to involve the children.
It is divided into sections:-
